Monthly Women's and Men's Circle

Every month at Kailyr Canteen, we gather in a circle — women on Saturdays, men on Sundays — to slow down, listen, and return to ourselves. Each circle introduces a simple embodiment tool that can be carried into daily life. We are beings of the earth and embodiment is the best way to be fully present here.

Our circles are rooted in the knowing that your healing is ultimately led by you. Others — therapists, facilitators, friends — can support you, hold space for you, and walk alongside you, but the path itself is yours to walk. Each month, the tools we offer are simply invitations to help you trust that inner guidance more deeply.

“No one can care for you better than yourself. No other person can provide the deep palliative medicine of the soul. A partner can hand you back the shattered pieces of yourself in good order after disaster, and we may always find some comfort in love. A close friend can be a brief surrogate. But in hard times, we need a near-constant source of connection and guidance — the wellspring of vitality within the core of our being.

Often it is anguish that finally turns us toward wisdom.”
— Inspired by Toko-pa Turner, Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home

Wisdom can come in many forms — in a sharing circle, through the story of someone you find resonance with, or in the space between what was said and what wasn’t. It reveals itself in presence — in how we sit with what arises, and in the tools we use to contain and hold it.

Containment will happen in the circle, naturally. You may choose to share, or you may simply listen. Both are sacred. Consent is central to our space — you never have to do or say anything you don’t want to.

In a world that asks women to hold so much — emotions, expectations, care, labour, and the weight of being “fine” — The Vessel is a space to set it down, even for a moment. A place to pause, breathe, and return to the truth of what your inner container is actually carrying.

This circle is an invitation to enter The Vessel together — to explore the state of your inner container with honesty and gentleness. Is it holding too tightly or too loosely? Does it feel cracked, overflowing, or empty? Is something spilling out, or is there room for what truly matters? A well-held vessel feels steady and spacious; when it doesn’t, we may feel ungrounded, overwhelmed, or without containment.

Here, we sit with all of this slowly, safely, and without pressure. You may choose to share, or you may simply listen. Both are welcomed. What’s shared here stays here.

A soft space to tend to your inner container — together, not alone.

In a world that asks men to be strong, certain, and unshaken, The Cave is a place to lay that weight down, a space to step away from the noise and return to the sacred center within.

This circle is an invitation to enter The Cave together — to reconnect with your inner world, find compassion, and build self-understanding in brotherhood.

Here, we answer that call safely, intentionally, and in community.
You may choose to share, or you may simply sit and listen. Both are welcomed. What’s shared here stays here.

A quiet space to tend the fire within — side by side, not alone.
